We have a history to make history….
Before I came to Paris, one of my friend told me it’s a lover’s city and really one can fall in love with this city. As day passes by I started comparing things with my country and how far behind we are from them in terms of life style, Technology and civilization. Then I thought may be am in Paris it’s as usual to see this infrastructure then I planned to go out of Paris to know more reality . But it’s unbelievable to my eyes it has same infrastructure in village of France as well.
Some extend I am ready to accept small is beautiful; these countries have less population and huge area so it can be possible. But I was not satisfied with my conclusion; how a little drop of water makes a mighty ocean and then started looking things at micro view instead of macro.
India is 4times bigger than France in area wise. Area of our two states Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh is greater than France. Area of two countries like Belgium and Netherland is less than our Assam.
Population of Bihar is more than three countries like France, Belgium and Netherlands.
These three countries are developed countries in world.
Developed countries have post-industrial economies, meaning the service sector provides more wealth than the industrial sector. They are contrasted with developing countries, which are in the process of industrialization, or undeveloped countries, which are pre-industrial and almost entirely agrarian.
France is one of the Top 10 cleanest countries in the world. One of my French friend told me, our school ensures that the students are aware of how their actions can help or degrade the environment. Dustbins have been provided even in our school buses so waste material is disposed off properly. While walking in street, I started follow same what the fellow pedestrian does. I think it comes from watching and imitating whatever the family members, grown-ups and fellow travelers do.
Cycling is a ubiquitous mode of transport in these countries but in Netherlands approximately 49% of the people using cycle as their main mode of transport for daily activities. One can say cool climate of the Netherlands means that one can cycle short distances without breaking into a sweat. I agree in India infrastructure and safety is the stumbling block.
Pedestrian is the king on the road on these countries. I have noticed several times even if its red light in traffic signal and vehicle driver noticed you are waiting for crossing the road they will allow pedestrians. It’s vice versa in our country.
When in Rome, do as the Romans do.” You’ve heard it so often that you may no longer pay attention to what it means. Yet in this age of globalization it’s as true as ever.
The French take pride in their language, and the best way to show your respect is to do your best to speak French—even if it’s just a few, badly pronounced words. Same time it reminds me my country where till now we are unable to choose a national language. I always emphasis on this language because I believe it divide our society and country as a whole. It’s not only France even if China, Japan and South Korea considered as exemplary when language matters. It’s very difficult to see anything written in English even if computer keyboard is in French (Now my respect for Tamilans greater than before).
We have history to make history but we will ignore it by saying we have 20% of world population, 15 languages it’s impossible. When we are going outside India, we are introducing ourselves from India then why our generation can’t accept one national language for our nation. It’s genuine for our previous generation they were not much educated but today every household has one educated person.
In 21st century our honorable prime minister’s Priority is clean India, Cycling to work one day a month and turning off city street lights on full moon nights. These things it’s not our prime minister only observed while travelling to other countries but any Indian been to abroad also realized. But unfortunately we don’t follow or make others to follow it.
